The Essentials – a primer
This one-day programme will introduce you to the transformative principles of effective coaching as a Financial Planner. Combining discussions, exercises and case studies, you will leave with skills you can implement immediately to elevate your meetings and a taster of what’s to come in the full programme.
Preparation
Before you embark on the core programme, you will receive a one-to-one coaching session with the course guide to help you prepare. You will also receive your pack in the post, with some pre-reading.
Core Programme
Run over four days, this intensive in person training programme is designed to equip you with flexible coaching skills that will elevate your client meetings to the next level. The programme combines teaching with practical exercises, peer mentorship, and case studies, to embed what you learn and build a strong supportive relationship between delegates.
Qualification
During the six-month qualification period, you will work together with other delegates to practice and embed your learning. You will also attend group mentorship and individual supervision to support you in completing the qualification requirements.
Accreditation
Ongoing CPD and reflection will be required each year to maintain your designation. You will become part of a supportive community of Financial Discovery Coaches and continue learning together year on year.

Develop trust and deepen relationships
This course, and subsequent Financial Discovery Coaching qualification equips financial planners with the critical skills needed to build deep, trusting client relationships. The skills learned and practised will enable you to add greater value and so ultimately attract and convert more of your ideal clients.
Through interactive sessions grounded in the Thinking Environment® principles, participants learn to listen deeply and ask powerful questions that reveal client insights and assumptions.
The 6-month programme includes in person training, ongoing group mentoring and individual supervision and lifelong access to an alumni network.
