Alongside my Thinking Environment work with clients, I spend a considerable part of my week working with financial planning business, Emery Little. One of the pleasures of being so involved in a single business is the opportunity to really embed the Thinking Environment principles, and then seeing the results.
We really believe in the Thinking Environment approach at Emery Little, and recent joiner, Marcus Farnfield, shared his thoughts about it on Twitter earlier this year.
Marcus started by saying…
As I approach the 6 month mark at Emery Little, I wanted to share a few thoughts on what it’s been like joining a company remotely.

And then went on to add…
Many might think that it’s tech which facilitates doing this successfully, it’s not. Culture is the key.

He then explained further…
In particular, I have come to understand the power of a culture which considers all members of the team to be equal in their ability to think.

Marcus explained the difference this makes…
We would not work as effectively without these two important features of our day to day lives as part of the EL team.
